The Azari Runner, originating from Northwest Iran, represents a unique approach to carpet design. This piece was created from the remnants of a larger, traditional Persian carpet. Only portions of its original main border remained, and their narrow form provided the inspiration for the final runner rug shape.The design of the added section is intentionally simple, drawing inspiration from the main lines and patterns of the original rug. The colors chosen for this new section, primarily dark blue and red, match the background tones of the antique parts.The design in the added section connects what were originally two separated pieces of a single carpet, re-establishing a sense of completeness.
